Recycling Management Ltd, MIM's only true Total Waste Management supplier, are proud to announce that we have been nominated for Metals Recycling Business of the Year 2019 at the Awards for Excellence in Recycling & Waste Management.
We are absolutely over the moon and feel that our hard work and determination to fully embrace diversity in the workplace, coupled with our outstanding push towards a revamped brand is finally paying off. Every day we are at the forefront of manufacturing support and our increased fleet and in-house systems are the backbone of our operation.
We are the only Midlands-based business to be nominated so we feel that we are representing our community and by extension the MiM Family.
When we decided to rebrand and revamp our look it was to try and remove some of the stigma attached to suppliers in the waste management sector.
Couple this with our continued push to promote and enhance our female workforce and I can say without doubt that we are doing more here than 75% of the companies who tick boxes by attending a diversity workshop.
And now we have been rewarded for our efforts.
We have always felt that the MIM Family keep us at arm’s length, perhaps its because we just aren’t a glamourous sector, but I can tell you all that we are as vital as any other business in the manufacturing supply chain. If we don’t deliver our services then your workforce grind to a halt. If we don’t perform to the highest standard then the very real, living environment is harmed. That environment belongs to all of us and we feel a strong responsibility towards making a genuine change, not just a box ticking exercise.
We are looking forward to meeting you all at the MiM Expo this year and beginning progressive and meaningful dialogue. But we aren’t mind-readers and if you don’t tell us what you need then we can’t help. I fail to understand how we can offer free audits and more money per tonne only to be met with a lack of interest.
